Introduction

Tajikistan is a mountainous Central Asian nation with significant hydropower and mineral resources. AERI's research reveals that Tajikistan, as a Belt and Road participant, offers investment opportunities in energy, mining, and infrastructure.

In 2024, GDP approximately USD 12 billion, growth of 7.0%. Population approximately 10 million. China-Tajikistan bilateral trade reached USD 3 billion in 2024.

Part II: Investment Environment

Corporate tax 23%. VAT 15%. Free economic zones in Dushanbe, Sughd, and Pyanj. Mining and energy sectors receive special incentives.


Part III: Chinese Enterprise Investment

Major projects: TALCO gold mine, Zeravshan gold mine, various road construction projects, Dushanbe-2 power plant.
