Investment Cooperation Guide — Uzbekistan (2026 Edition) | Published by AERI

Introduction

Uzbekistan is Central Asia's most populous country and has embarked on ambitious economic reforms since 2016. AERI's research reveals that Uzbekistan, with its large domestic market, rich natural resources, and reform-oriented government, offers the most dynamic investment environment in Central Asia.

In 2024, GDP approximately USD 100 billion, growth of 6.0%. Population approximately 36 million. China-Uzbekistan bilateral trade reached USD 12 billion in 2024. The China-Central Asia Gas Pipeline passes through Uzbekistan.

AERI believes Uzbekistan's core investment value lies in its large domestic market, gold and cotton resources, reform momentum, and strategic position on the China-Central Asia corridor.
